Yaakov Zimmerman grew up in Passaic, New Jersey, and made aliyah to Israel, where he built his life around Zionism, leadership, and service.
He served as a commander in the elite IDF Paratroopers (Division 98) and has completed more than 800 days of reserve duty since October 7th, taking part in some of Israel’s most critical front-line operations.
Yaakov will share his journey — making aliyah, leadership and sacrifice through IDF service, firsthand experiences from Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, reserve duty during wartime, and building Jewish life in Shiloh and Aish Kodesh — woven together with faith, resilience, and supporting Israel through action.
The evening includes a wine tasting featuring wines from his Shiloh Winery, alongside conversation and a Q&A.
