Join Rabbi Gotlib for a new class exploring "The Sacred and the State: The Religious Zionism of Rabbi Dr. Nachum Rabinovitch."
Zionism and the establishment of the State of Israel challenge Torah scholars to articulate a vision of state and society that embodies the highest standards of security, sanctity, and justice. Rav Rabinovitch spoke of these issues with a rare sensitivity and wisdom. Join Rabbi Gotlib for an in-depth exploration of Rav Rabinovitch's "Pathways to God: Torah, Society, and State," a book that emphasizes the Torah's "vision of liberty, equality, rights, and responsibilities, which relates closely to modern democratic ideals but is not identical to them."
