Mekor High Holiday Information
We are pleased to announce that Mekor High Holiday services will be held both at shul and outdoors. The outdoor services will take place at a lovely private venue about 2 blocks from the shul. (The address will be provided when we accept your reservation.) Scroll down to see the complete Mekor High Holiday schedule.
Guide to At-home Davening
We have also prepared information to help you with your at-home davening on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur – what to say and when, with page numbers from the Artscroll machzor.
You can find our Rosh Hashana Guide at this link.
Special Gift from Mekor ~
Upon request, every new and renewing member unit will receive a High Holiday Machzor along with a copy of Rabbi Hirsch's publication, The Book of Life: A Transformative Guide to the High Holidays. Deadline for requests is Friday, September 11. Pickup locations TBD.
RESERVATIONS
As you know, we must take special precautions this year to protect the health and safety of our entire community. We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience!
Unlike prior years, no one will be given entry to indoor or outdoor services without a reservation, for the sake of health/safety. Before deciding to attend, please thoroughly familiarize yourself with all of our HH Safety & Health Guidelines, including the specific information about children. Attendance at each service will be capped at 35. Although we will schedule additional shifts if we receive over 35 reservations, we are unable to take requests for specific shifts.
As always, reservations for High Holiday seats will be free of charge to everyone who renews or joins for the 5781 year. Membership rates remain the same as last year, and 5781 members may reserve tickets for their family guests at a discounted rate. Reservations will be final only upon payment of dues or guest rates. The deadline for finalizing your Rosh Hashana reservations is Sunday September 13. The deadline for finalizing your Yom Kippur reservations is Monday, September 21.
Children may attend the outdoor services, if they remain in strollers or if they wear masks and are with a parent willing to ensure each child remains seated during the entire service, unless accompanied by a parent to the restroom. Please include your children in your reservation request, and specify on which side of the mechitza they will sit, because we will be setting up adjacent chairs for your family, to specifically accommodate the number of children.
All membership information, including 5781 Membership Rates, can be found here.
~ High Holiday rates for members' family guests & nonmembers may be found here.
~ We never turn away anyone for lack of funds, so if you are unable to pay the full membership fee or High Holiday guest/nonmember rate for any reason, please email mekorhabracha@gmail.com or call (215) 525-4246, or contact a Board member or Rabbi Hirsch, to request a flexible payment plan or reduction. All requests will remain confidential.
HIGH HOLIDAY SPONSORSHIPS
We welcome High Holiday sponsors to help cover the cost of renting our outdoor venue. Please email the shul if you'd like to contribute, and include the dedication you wish us to announce.
MEKOR YIZKOR BOOK 5781
